Multichoice In Big Mess, Dragged To Court By Aneke Twins


                                  
Premium pay TV provider, MultiChoice may have bitten off more than it can chew. This is because the company has now landed itself in a big trouble that might stain its reputation.

Information has it that MultiChoice allegedly aired a movie produced by popular Nollywood twins, Chidimma and Chidiebere Aneke on one of its platforms without authorisation. This has now forced the movie stars to take the company to court to seek redress.

As if that is not enough, according to further information made available to us, MultiChoice allegedly presented fake documents to back up its claims.


It was learnt that MultiChoice aired a movie by the movie titled ‘Compulsory Risk’, which has now put them in a big risk. The said film was aired on November 5, 2010, which the Aneke twins reportedly recorded with their phones.

According to the twins, “we went for the copyright of ‘Compulsory Risk’ on 04/09/2009, and we were given the Acknowledgement of Copyright Notification on the 14/12/2009.

“We also censored the movie at the National Film and Video Censors Board, Onitsha, Anambra State, on 11/09/09, and we received the censorship approval on 05/10/2009. We Released ‘Compulsory Risk’ that Dec 2009″.
