Omotola: I don’t believe in gender equality. I do not believe that God made man and woman to be equal in any way. I believe that in every organised institution, there is always a head and an assistant. It doesn’t mean that one should take the other for granted, or disrespect the other. I believe the husband is the head of the home and the wife is an assistant. My husband is a pilot, I have flown with him several times and I understood that there is a captain and a co-pilot. They are both responsible for the passengers’ lives. But when there is a final decision to make, it is up to the captain to make it. He is more experienced and the one with the responsibility. But any mature captain will not ignore his co-pilot because the co-pilot is not a cabin attendant. He is there for a reason. It just depends on how you understand and play your roles.

Nigerian gets Convicted in South Africa after He's Caught Cheating in Pilot’s License Exam
Sopuruchi Amadi from Nigeria and Nedsun Likhunya from Malawi both had private pilots’ licenses and had gone to Port Elizabeth for further training. Amadi wanted a commercial licence, but was uncertain he would pass the exam, so he asked Likhunya to write it for him. He gave him his private pilot’s license and Likhunya altered it by replacing Amadi’s photograph with his own. Likhunya then wrote the exam posing as Amadi. Investigators were suspicious, and while the impostor was writing the examination with about 10 others, they set background checks in motion and found that he was not the man he said he was.

Chris Brown diagnosed with mental illness
He appeared in court yesterday for a probation hearing and a letter from his rehab facility gave the singer high marks for improvement but suggested he remain in treatment.
The letter, obtained by E! News, reads in part,
"Mr. Brown will also require close supervision by his treating physician in order to ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable. It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biomedical mood swings and trauma triggers."
"Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."Chris was ordered to remain in treatment for two more months. His next hearing his set for April 23.

Explosions rock football viewing centre in Maiduguri killing many people
The Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), said to have been planted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at the viewing centre at Ajilari Railway Cross, exploded at about 6pm, killing many fans, while several others sustained injuries.
A residents of Ajilari told a Vanguard correspondent that, “Some suspected terrorists in two Toyota Hilux Pick Up vans, pretending to be firewood suppliers, detonated the bombs near the football viewing centre, resulting in loss of several lives.
‘Why I Rejected The Centenary Awards’ – Soyinka Opens Up
100 persons were honoured with Centenary awards by the Federal Government as part of Nigeria’s Centenary celebration.
Professor Soyinka who was among the 100 rejected the award as the late Nigerian tyrant, General Sani Abacha and other known killers and looters of Nigeria’s treasury were also on the list.
In a rejection note headlined “The Canonisation of Terror”, Soyinka observed that the inclusion of Abacha on the list does not only show a failure of a moral rigour but it calls into question “the entire ethical landscape into which this nation has been forced by insensate leadership”.
According to Soyinka, Abacha’s regime was known for assassinations, torture and other forms of barbarism. An elected president and his wife, M.K.O and Kudirat Abiola were snuffed out by Abacha as well as nine Nigerian citizens, including the writer and environmentalist Ken Saro-Wiwa, were hanged after a trial that was stomach churning.

Kingsley Chukwueke Okonkwo, aka Kcee, is a former member of the 2002 Star Quest winning group, KC Presh. The father of one girl (Honeybell) opened up to YES International!’s GBENGA SHABA on how he has been coping as a solo artist, his new album and why he is in love with flashy things.
Tell us about your journey into the music world.
It started right in the church when I was in a church choir where I met Presh in 2002 and we decided to record something. It was at this moment that we heard about Star Quest which we won eventually and from there, our career in music picked up.
What was Presh doing when you met him?
He was a music director. He was directing the choir before I joined him and before long, I was made the choir master. He was already in a group; one acepella group called Genesis. So, he left the group when we met to form our own group which we first called Street Boiz. But no one knew us. It was after this that we decided to coin our names, Kingsley Chukwueke (Kcee) and his, Precious, which we abbreviated to Presh. We changed the name when we were registering for Star Quest.

Nigeria’s one-time most wanted drug baron, Greg Odilibe, is dead. The Umunocha, Awka Etiti, Anambra born drug merchant died in South Africa where he had been ‘hiding’ for years.

The whole thing later boomeranged, injuring so many people’s reputation in the process.

living former heads of government of Nigeria on Friday gathered under

US warns Russia over military intervention in Ukraine
US President Barack Obama has warned Russia that any military intervention in Ukraine would lead to unspecified “costs.”
The US is consulting with its EU partners on potential costs.
Obama made an unexpected appearance in the White House briefing room to try to head off Russia after reports that armed men had taken over two airports in the Crimea region of southern Ukraine.
“We are now deeply concerned by reports of military movements taken by the Russian Federation inside of Ukraine,” he told reporters.
A Man, Declared Dead, Wakes Up in Body Bag at Funeral Home...
A Mississippi man woke up in a body bag as funeral home workers prepared to embalm him, ABC affiliate WAPT reported.
Walter Williams, 78, of Lexington, Mississippi., appeared to have died at his home Wednesday night. The coroner came to the house and pronounced him dead at 9 p.m.
"I stood there and watched them put him in a body bag and zipped it up," Williams' nephew, Eddie Hester, told WAPT.
Williams was taken to Porter and Sons Funeral Home. They were getting ready to embalm him, and that's when he started kicking inside the body bag.

Rapists To Get 21 Year Jail Term In Niger State.
The Chairman, House Committee on Judicial Matters, Alhaji Isah Kawu, moved the motion for the House to receive the report of his committee on the mentioned bill.
He said the bill was an improvement over the previous bill which set aside 14 years jail term with option of a fine, while the passed bill provided for 21 years jail term without an option of fine for a convict under Sharia Penal Code.
He said, “The passage of the bill would greatly stem the tide of rape cases in the state and serve as a lesson to perpetrators”.
He added that the bill makes it an offence for any Muslim to marry more than four wives as provided by the Holy Quran and the offender risked severe punishment to be determined by the judge listening to the case.
