NIGERIA’S MOST WANTED DRUG BARON DIES IN SOUTH AFRICA – His painful last days

Nigeria’s one-time most wanted drug baron, Greg Odilibe, is dead. The Umunocha, Awka Etiti, Anambra born drug merchant died in South Africa where he had been ‘hiding’ for years.
Allegedly in his 50s, the handsome Odilibe reportedly gave up the ghost after a fierce and ferocious battle with kidney failure. His corpse has since been deposited in a morgue while his burial plans are being sorted out by his family.

The deceased drug lord, it would be recalled, made headline news in the nineties for allegedly dealing in the banned substance. Repentant society lady, Jennifer Madike, even did time in prison for her entanglement with him. As the story was told then, Ms. Madike allegedly collected some money from him with a promise to get NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency), then led by a handsome police officer, Mr. Fidelis Oyakhilome, to hands off his case, having then declared Greg and his brother wanted. The whole thing later boomeranged, injuring so many people’s reputation in the process.

Odilibe, upon extricating himself partially from the mess, relocated to South Africa where they said he lived large. An encounter with controversial preacher and the man in the Synagogue, Prophet T.B Joshua got him to become a new creature, forget all his bad ways and even come under the man’s tutelage.
Joshua was there for him all through his battle with the kidney ailment. Advising and ministering to him both in Nigeria and South Africa, he eventually gave up the ghost.  Thus, closing a chapter in his chequered life.
