A Chinese woman developed a sudden hearing loss that makes her unable to hear the voice of men.

A Chinese woman developed a sudden hearing loss that makes her unable to hear the voice of men.

The patient, who has only been identified by her surname, Chen, went to sleep with nausea and ringing in her ears but woke up to find she was unable to hear her boyfriend. Ms Chen, from the city Xiamen, on the east coast of China, went straight to the hospital when she woke up and her condition left doctors confused.

Doctors tried to figure out her bizarre symptoms, which were the opposite to more common forms of hearing loss, according to local reports. What was more surprising was that she could hear the voice of women, but not that of men.

A specialist diagnosed her with reverse-slope hearing loss, in which she could only hear high frequencies. 

The condition is believed to affect only one in nearly 13,000 patients with hearing problems, according to figures. 

It was possible that stress may have contributed to the condition, the doctors said.

Cosmos Emeh, 32, appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday, where it was revealed he had also been accused of trying to get the victim to send him a further $170,000 before officers swooped and arrested him at his Durack home on Thursday.

Mr Emeh, who is in Australia on a student visa, allegedly received the money over the course of three months from the 34-year-old Brisbane woman, who later contacted police and sparked the investigation.

Saudi Arabian women to be notified of divorce by SMS

Women in Saudi Arabia will be notified by text message if their husbands divorce them under a new law designed to protect them from having their marriage ended without their knowledge, the government said on Sunday.

The new law, which came into effect on Sunday, was seen as a way to end secret divorces and ensure women are fully aware of their marital status so they can protect their rights such as alimony.

The move comes as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has started to give women more rights in the conservative kingdom, which included lifting a ban on women driving last year.

Depression Treatments especially for your young people.

Depression starts from your mind, it's all about you, that's why I teach people about been selfish,  put your self first,  the only human allowed to come before you are your kids ( when they are minors).

Why allow a stranger who has never contributed to your wellbeing, disturb your happiness,  Love is a beautiful thing but please love the right person,  don't waste it on someone who doesn't deserve it. 

1)Marital issues : Marry for the right reasons,  have a source of income before you get  married.

2) Heart breaks: Have other activities you engage in,  relationship should have just 30% of your time.

3) Financial struggles : shit happens but let there be a dream/ vision you are pursuing .

4) Low self esteem: be proud of yourself,  your achievements,  don't compare with others.

5) Physical/ Emotional Neglect: Provide yourself with the attention that you need!

Treatment plans should consider individual, family, school, and medical issues. Depression in teens often is related to problems at home. So enhancing parenting skills is an important part of treatment.

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. The good news is that it's treatable.
