Chelsea Football Club have announced the signing of St. Etienne defender Kurt Zouma for a fee estimated around £12.5million.
The 19-year-old has been closely monitored by several top European clubs, but after having a personal phone-call with Jose Mourinho, Zouma made his decision clear and admitted that Stamford Bridge was where he wanted to be.
The centre-back, who is expected to be John Terry's long-term replacement, will spend the rest of the season on loan at St. Etienne, the club he is leaving, and will join up with Chelsea in the Summer.
Zouma signs on a five-and-a-half-year deal.
