Our fathers married before 25years and most of them stayed together till old age. But it's a different story with this present generation and this is the only reason I could think causes late marriage in our generation is:
Money
In Africa: Our Economy is not really strong in Africa and its mostly survival of the fittest, most of us struggled ourselves through school, even after school getting a job isn't assured. Soo, After struggling and getting a bit comfortable, it happens that our girlfriends whom we wish to be with are all already married with kids, so we start looking for someone at almost 27years.
Abroad: Economy is good, but the system is wired in a way that you hardly have time for relationships, because you have one or two bills to clear. In marriage, spouse are expected to bear each other's gain or lost. Most people prefers to have living in partners but no legal binding to avoid claiming someone's debt.
