How To Make Rivers Fisherman Soup



INGREDIENTS:
1 whole Tilapia or Cat fish ( washed and cut)
1 cup of fresh Shrimps
2 cups of Periwinkles
1 cup of Lobsters/Oysters
1 large onion
2 tablespoons of palm oil
5 fresh pepper (ata-rodo)
Half teaspoon of hot grounded dry pepper (ata-wewe)
Salt to taste
1 Double Knor Maggi
A few Scent leaves (efirin)
2 table spoons of cocoyam powder for thickening.

PROCEDURE:

1.  Place fish in pot, season, cover and steam without water for 5mins.
2.  Carefully pick out fish and place in a flat dish, set aside.
3.  Pour 1ltr of water into fish pot and place back on the cooker to boil.
4.  Mix palm oil with thickener and pour into the boiling water. Allow to boil well.
5.  Add sliced onions, grounded fresh pepper, dry pepper, Maggi and salt to taste.
6.  Add seafood (Lobsters/Oysters, Periwinkles and Shrimps) stir and allow to boil a little.
7.  Add steamed fish, sliced scent leaves and allow to boil well. Bring down your pot of delicious Rivers Fisherman Soup.
8.  Serve with garri (eba), fufu, pounded yam, semovita, oatmeal, yam or white rice.
