Ghana has overtaken Nigeria as the largest recipient of Foreign Direct Investment for 2018, according to new United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Ghana Investments Promotions Authority (GIPC), CEO, Yoofi Grant was talking to BBC Pidgin and said "we establish clear pathway to growth plus macro-economic policies."
"We make sure say our economy dey inspire trust then confidence inside our investors…we wan make Ghana an attractive destination for West Africa so that our strategy go dey attract more investors." Mr Grant said.
The reports that was monitored by global investments trends revealed that Ghana ssecurd $3.3 billion, while Nigerian recorded 36% decline in FDI plus $2.2billion dollars.
Meanwhile, Egypt recorded the highest FDI investment for Africa, dem move from $7.4billion to $7.9billion investments for areas like real estate, food processing, oil and gas then renewable energy.
