Marriage legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship, most times between a man and a woman.
I noticed that in Nigeria, almost all the churches in Nigeria are allowed to perform marriages, they don't need any authorization to do so. Though Nigerian religious/traditional weddings are recognized as common law partners outside Nigeria.
While in Canada, Religious weddings are recognized if they are given the authorization to do so and very few Churches are given this authorization, most people wed at the court.
